KB14113: Users cannot create pass through functions with input parameters from different source tables using MicroStrategy Developer

SYMPTOM:
 
An ApplySimple statement that uses two input parameters, #0 and #1, which are to be read from two different tables, cannot be created in Strategy Developer 9.x or 10.x.
 
 
CAUSE:
ApplySimple statements cannot read attributes #0 and #1 from two different tables.
 
WORKAROUND:
Either of the following workarounds can be used:
 

• Create a logical table in Strategy Developer using attribute columns from different tables and then use the logical table as the source table for the pass through function.
• Create a view in the database using attribute columns from different tables and then use the view as the source table for the pass through function.
