KB14519: Exporting to PDF results in a blank page in MicroStrategy Web 9.x

Community Admin

• Strategy

Users may find that exports to PDF result in a blank page in MicroStrategy Web 9.x. This issue is caused by HTTP Compression enabled on IIS. HTTP Compression checks and compresses files of a certain extension, such as html and asp, allowing for faster page serving to client machines. However, for a PDF export the compressed file is not decompressed automatically when sent to the browser, thus a user has to refresh the page in order for the file to display.
