Failed to load service definition
In the DELog and the System Message Viewer logs, the following error can be seen:
:5500:Service ID Execution ID Segment ID [] Failed to create Service Loader object
CAUSE:The Strategy Narrowcast Server Administrator is being used for remote administration of an existing Strategy Narrowcast Server system, and the user logged in does not have the correct permissions or DCOM settings.
ACTION:For basic information regarding how to perform remote administration, refer to the following Strategy Knowledge Base technical notes:
- KB5074: How to administer Strategy Narrowcast Server from a remote machine
- KB10646: How to set the DCOM settings for remote administration of Strategy Narrowcast Server on a Windows 2003 Server machine
NOTE: If DCOM settings are changed on the Strategy Narrowcast Server, the machine needs to be rebooted before the settings will take affect.
