KB14757: ‘C00452D6…‘(unknown)’ is not a valid path’ error occurs when accessing the Portal Repository page in the MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server 9.x Portal Administrator

SYMPTOM:
When accessing the Portal Repository page for the Strategy Narrowcast Server 9.x Subscription Portal Administrator, the following error occurs:
CAUSE:
This error occurs because the Microsoft Access database for which the DSN listed is pointing to no longer exists or has been moved.
NOTE: The specific DSN listed in the error message is for the Strategy Narrowcast Server 9.x Tutorial repositories.
ACTION:
There are two available actions:

1. Re-point the DSN to the correct location for the Strategy Narrowcast Server 9.x repositories.
   
2. Remove references to the portal and the portal DSN from the properties files located by default at C:\Program Files\Common Files\MicroStrategy\Config\ by following the steps below:
   NOTE: It is always advised to backup file before making changes.
   
1. Remove string values for the GROUP_DSN and GROUP_PREFIX from the subscriptionEngine.properties file.
   
2. Remove the AUREP_CONN, SBREP_CONN, SITE_ID, and SITE_NAME string values from the subscriptionPortal.properties file.
