When CMDMGR.EXE executes multiple instructions, if users decide to cancel, Strategy Administrator - Command Manager terminates and returns error code of 7.

Once Strategy Administrator - Command Manager verifies that there is no syntax error within the set of instructions to be executed, it proceeds to execute the instruction set one by one. Strategy Administrator - Command Manager first obtains all the information it needs such as instruction type (create, delete, alter…,) target object (Report, Filter, Metric, Folder…,) target object name, location of target object, target project(s), and any special information that is associated with the object. It then verifies to make sure that object name is valid, location of the object is valid, the project(s) is(are) loaded, and any other info that needs to be verified. If any of these fails, Strategy Administrator - Command Manager will terminate and output an error message with error code of 8.

 
If Strategy Administrator - Command Manager sees a syntax error, it will halt the execution process without executing any further instruction after the instruction with bad syntax.
