KB15158: How to display Euros with the ‘€ ###.###.###,00’ format in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x - 10.x reports

SUMMARY:
In order to correctly display Euro formatting in Strategy Developer 10.x, follow the steps below:

• Launch 'Regional settings' found under 'Control Panel.'
• Click 'Additional settings' and under the 'Numbers' tab, change the settings to resemble those shown in the image below and click 'Apply':
  

• Click on the 'Currency' tab, and modify the settings to be the same as those pictured below and click 'OK':

  NOTE: It is not required to change the 'Decimal symbol' or 'Digit grouping symbol' settings within the 'Currency' Tab for currency to be correctly displayed in Strategy Desktop 9.0.x.
   
  
• Within Strategy Developer 10.x, browse to Tools > Preferences  > International and make the change pictured below and click 'OK':
  

• Edit any metrics that should be displayed with the Euro formatting and navigate to Tools > Formatting > Values. Under the 'Number' tab, change the 'Currency Symbol' to '€' and click 'OK', as shown below:

  NOTE: Notice that the sample currency is displayed with the correct formatting.
   
  
• Close and re-launch Strategy Developer.
