How to format a trend line to be the same color as the series it belongs to in MicroStrategy Developer

The following procedure describes how to format a trend line to be the same color as the series it belongs to in Strategy Developer
 

  • Create a report in Strategy Developer with the attribute 'Region' and the metric 'Revenue'.
  • Execute the report in Graph view, choosing Vertical Line: Absolute, as shown below:

  • Select a data series, and either right-click and select 'series options' or go to the Graph menu and choose 'series options'.
  • Select the 'Trendline' tab, as shown below:

  • Check the box for 'Show Trendlines' and choose the regression type from the drop-down menu, as shown below:

  • Check the box for 'Show Color same as Series' as shown below:

  • Click 'OK' to close the dialog box.
  • The trend line should now appear, as shown below:
