What value should be entered for the 'Unicode' field when creating a Sybase or Teradata DSN through the command line interface on Strategy Intelligence Server Universal?
 
Answer:
When creating a DSN through the mstrconnectwiz command line interface on Strategy Intelligence Server Universal, the syntax for creating Sybase DSN is as follows:
 
Sybase ASE 12.x mstrconnectwiz SYBASE DSN NetworkAddrss,PortNumber DatabaseName Unicode
For Teradata:
 
mstrconnectwiz TERADATA DSN ServerName DatabaseName Unicode
Both of these DSNs require a 'Unicode' field to be populated. The correct values for this field are either a '1' or a '0':

Setting the 'Unicode' value to '1', enables Unicode (UTF-8) support, causing the following line to be added into the odbc.ini file for the DSN:
 
CharSet=UTF8
When the 'Unicode' value is '0', no Unicode support is enabled, and no line is added to the ODBC.ini file.
