An error message is shown when a report with a hierarchy on the template referred to as "R02" uses another report as a filter referred "R01".

SYMPTOM
An error message is shown when a report with a hierarchy on the template referred to as "R02" uses another report as a filter referred "R01".

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1) Create a new hierarchy named “Unrelated”, add attributes Country and Quarter into it. Note that these two attributes have no existing relationship.
2) Update Schema.
3) Create report R01 with Country, Region, Distribution Center, and Cost;
4) Create report R02 with Unrelated hierarchy and Profit on a template, filter as Country=USA and R01;
5) Try to view SQL of R02, the following error is displayed:

SQLEngine got an Exception from DFC: A hierarchy on the template must be related to one or more attributes in the report filter, or it cannot be replaced by one (or multiple) attributes.

CAUSE
This is expected behavior given the specific definitions and relationships of objects. Where there is a hierarchy in a report template, this must be resolved at runtime by the presence of an attribute in the report filter that will determine the hierarchy level that is selected. This filter attribute must belong to the template hierarchy. This is fairly clear when the filter is a simple filter, e.g. an attribute element filter.

ACTION
Add an attribute from the hierarchy on the template of the report "R02".
