How to export PDF reports directly to Adobe Reader in MicroStrategy Web 9.x and 10.x?

By default, PDF exports will display within a browser window in MicroStrategy Web, as shown below:

In order to have the PDF exports open directly in Adobe Reader, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Open Adobe Reader and choose Edit > Preferences.
  2. Under the Internet section, uncheck the 'Display PDF in browser' setting, as shown below::

PDFs will now open directly in Adobe Reader, as shown below:
