When expanding a slider selector for a graph in MicroStrategy Web 8.1.0 using the arrows, data on the graph stops updating

SYMPTOM:
When a user creates a time slider selector for a graph in Strategy Web 8.10 and then widens the time range by moving the arrows along the bar, the data stops updating on the graph when the right arrow moves past a certain point. The following images demonstrate this issue. Notice that the data range is from Jan 04 to Jun 04 and that all the data appears on the graph:

Once the right arrow is moved a notch to the right to include the month of Jul 04 data, the graph has not changed. The data for Jul 04 is not displayed on the graph, as shown below:

CAUSE:
The default graph display is a maximum of six categories shown at once. When the time slider range exceeds the max of six, the additional data cannot be displayed on the graph.

ACTION:
The graph formatting can be changed to increase the maximum number of categories to display, or the time slider range must be kept within the defined maximum.

To increase the number of categories to display, right-click on the graph to change and select 'Format Graph…". Then change the 'Categories' setting illustrated below:

If the time slider range matches the number of categories, the user can drag the slider bar, instead of the arrows, to view more data.
