KB16015: Users cannot see the metric when executing a report in MicroStrategy Developer 10.x

SYMPTOM:
Users with View access to the metric object cannot see the metric when executing the report in Strategy Developer 10.x.
 
Example in Strategy Tutorial project:
 

• User 'Dman' has View access to the metric Revenue-NorthEast, as shown below:
  

• The metric Revenue-NorthEast contains filter NorthEast as the condition, as shown below:
  

• User 'Dman' does not have access to the filter NorthEast, as shown below:
  

• User 'Dman' cannot see the metric Revenue-NorthEast when the report is executed, as shown below:
  

• Grant user 'Dman' View access to the filter NorthEast, as shown below:
  

• User 'Dman' can now view the metric Revenue-NorthEast when the report is executed, as shown below:
  

CAUSE:
The users do not have access to at least one of the metric's components.
 
ACTION:
Verify and grant the users access to all of the metric's components.
