KB16128: "HTTP Status 404 - /MicroStrategy/Lang_1033/officeinstall.htm" error occurs when accessing the Install MicroStrategy Office link within MicroStrategy Web 9.x on a JSP Application server.

SYMPTOM:
Users running a JSP Application server, such as Tomcat, encounter the following error when trying to install Strategy Office 9.x from the install link in Strategy Web 9.x:

description The requested resource (/MicroStrategy/Lang_1033/officeinstall.htm) is not available.
CAUSE:
The default link is pointing to an incorrect path to the Strategy Office 9.x install files.
 
ACTION:
Users can modify the link to point to the correct location by doing the following:

1. Locate the officeinstall.htm file. The file should be under the Strategy Web Services folder installation in StrategyWS/Office/Lang_1033 .
2. Open the Strategy Web Administration page, and select 'Strategy Office' from the left menu.
3. Enter the correct path into the text box and test it by clicking 'Go'. For Tomcat the URL should resemble the following:
   ../../StrategyWS/Office/Lang_1033/officeinstall.htm
   
4. If the URL correctly brought up the Strategy Office 8.1.x Install page click Save.
