Community Admin

• Strategy

To obtain the Project Documentation just for all reports in a certain folder in MicroStrategy Developer, follow the steps below:

Description

In Strategy Developer, users are able to automatically create detailed documentation for the entirety (or specific sections) of their project. For example, a user may want to create documentation for all reports within a project, or reports within a specific folder in the project. To obtain the Project Documentation for only reports in a certain folder in Strategy Developer, follow the steps below:

  • Log into Strategy Developer.
  • From the Folder List, browse to the folder which contains all the reports to be documented.
  • Right mouse-click this folder and select 'Search for objects.' This will open the Search for Objects dialog box.
  • Go to the Object Types tab and check the box for 'Report.'
  • Click the Find Now button. It should bring back all the reports in the folder.
  • Select all the reports (Ctrl+A) and go to the Tools menu (on the New Search-Search for objects dialog box) and select Project Documentation. This opens the Project Documentation dialog, as shown below:
