SYMPTOM:
When trying to define a user preference for an information object in Strategy Narrowcast Server 8.x Administrator for a specific user, the following error occurs:
CAUSE:
This user can only use Windows Authentication to login to the project since the 'User cannot use standard authentication to logon' box is checked in the Strategy Desktop 8.x User Editor for this particular user, as illustrated below:
The Strategy Narrowcast Server 8.x administrator might try to redefine the user's authentication for this information source with the Windows Authentication information, as shown below:
However, when trying to input the user's Windows NT authentication user name and password, Strategy Narrowcast Server 8.x does not recognize this type of authentication, as shown below:
This is a known issue in Strategy Narrowcast Server 8.x.
