KKB16744: How to setup Administrative Notification to send to multiple email addresses in MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server

The following steps walk through the basic processes of setting up Administrative Notification to send to multiple recipients in Strategy Narrowcast Server:
 

• Connect to and open the Strategy Narrowcast Server system for which Administrative Notification is to be enabled.
• Go to the Tools menu and select 'Set Administrative Notification', as shown below:
  

• Configure the necessary messages to send out by checking the appropriate check box and setting the governing and filtering options. For a more detailed explanation of all of the filtering and governing options, refer to the Strategy Narrowcast Server System Administrator Guide (PDF).
• Under 'Notification Properties' there is a single textbox labeled 'Email Address(es)'. Edit each email address which is to receive a notification email, separate each address with a semicolon. Only a semicolon is allowed as a delimiter between email addresses, as shown below:
  

• Click the 'Edit Device' button.
• Under the Transmission tab, select the 'Delivery Options' tab. Ensure that a 'Smart Host Address' is set and the checkbox 'Use Smart Host Always' is checked if the mail servers require Smart Host to be enabled, as shown below:
  

• Click OK to save any Device changes.
• Click OK to save the Administrative Notification changes.
