SYMPTOM:
Users can create and edit drill maps for a particular object so that they can determine which drill paths are available for every object.
In Strategy Desktop 8.x, users can set their drill maps so metrics and other objects in the report may be drilled to other template objects such as other metrics, templates, or hierarchies, as shown below:
However, when executing this report in Strategy Web 9.x and 10.x, it’s not possible to drill from metrics to paths other than child metrics, as shown below:
CAUSE:
This is working as designed with Strategy Web 9.x and 10.x. The only time the drill path become available is when the metric is defined as compound metric. An enhancement request is logged with Strategy Technology team to address this feature to include additional drill path.
ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on the status of the enhancement request.
