The <DELETED SCHEDULE> entry is used when the schedule associated with a report execution instance is unknown or does not exist within Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.x.
Two possible cases where <DELETED SCHEDULE> is associated with a report execution instance:
- A report is associated with a schedule, and this schedule runs the report at least once; a record is created in the statistics tables for that execution in IS_REPORT_STATS. The information on which schedule was used for the execution is kept in a separate table, IS_SCHEDULE_STATS. When a data load is performed, the execution information is moved to the IS_REP_FACT table and a series of joins is performed to associate the correct IS_SCHED_ID for the schedule with the execution entry.
If the schedule is deleted after it executes the report, but before a data load is performed, the schedule object information is not moved to the Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.x lookup tables on the next data load, because it does not exist at the time. Alternatively, if the schedule's last modification time is not within the time window for the data load, the schedule information will not be moved to the lookup tables. When the data load goes to move the execution information from IS_REPORT_STATS and IS_SCHEDULE_STATS to IS_REP_FACT, it cannot find the schedule used in the IS_SCHEDULE lookup table, so it assigns the default <DELETED SCHEDULE> entry to that execution, IS_SCHED_ID = -1.
- A report is run manually by the user, no schedule is involved. When the execution is moved to IS_REP_FACT, there must be a value for the entry in the IS_SCHED_ID column; the value is set to the default -1, corresponding to the <DELETED SCHEDULE>. All manual report executions show their associated schedule as <DELETED SCHEDULE>.
Refer to the following Strategy Knowledge Base document, where <DELETED SCHEDULE> was associated incorrectly to scheduled jobs.
KB32564: Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.0.0 - 9.0.1 report shows schedule names as "DELETED SCHEDULE" when users run reports to get information on schedules and associated report jobs.
