KB17685: How Administrators can access a users Profile Folder from MicroStrategy Web 9.x

At times, a web administrator may want to access a given user's profile folder from Strategy Web 9.x so that the administrator is able to run reports or documents inside the user's report folder.
 
To achieve this, the web administrator should try the following steps:
 

1. Log into Strategy Web 9.x as the web administrator user and select the desired project.
2. Click on the 'Search' icon on the lower right hand corner of the welcome page. The magnifying glass next to the search box in the shortcuts bar on the top of the interface can be clicked as well.
3. Select the search 'In All Folders' option.
4. In the search box, type in the full name of the web user.
5. The search result should bring back the profile folder with the user's full name.
6. The Web administrator can then access the 'My Report' folder of that user after clicking on the search result link.
