How to change the MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager 9.0.x - 9.2.1 dataload interval time to something other than what is listed in the MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager 9.0.x - 9.2.1 Console

In the Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.0.x - 9.2.1 console for schedule definition, users can schedule a time interval between dataloads under the 'Time Range' section, as shown below:

Notice that the drop-down box only gives the user and interval of 5 minutes from values (0 to 60).

In order to change this to a different value, users may need to modify the registry setting that controls the frequency of the dataloads.

To do this, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to Start > Run and type 'regedit'.
  2. Go to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicroStrategy\Enterprise Manager\Schedule'.
  3. Double-click on the 'Frequency' string.
  4. Change the frequency setting to a different number.
  5. Save and Exit the registry.
  6. The data loads should now be scheduled to run at the time specified.

WARNING:
Modifying registry values incorrectly may cause serious, system-wide problems that may require the re-installation of MicroSoft Windows NT. Any edit of the registry is done at the user's own risk. Since these are user-initiated changes, they are not covered by any Strategy warrantly. If using MicroSoft Windows NT, the user should backup the registry and/ or update an Emergency Repair Disk (ERD - see KB500335 for more information) prior to alterations.
