The minimum privileges required for a user to edit derived metrics in Web 9.x are as follows:
Under Web Reporter: Web user; under Web Analyst: Web create derived metrics, Web alias objects.
SYMPTOM:
When running a grid report to grid view in Web 8.x, the user right-clicks on an existing derived metric, but the option to Rename… (Edit) the derived metric is not shown in the context drop-down menu.
CAUSE:
The user does not have the necessary privileges in Desktop to edit derived metrics in Web.
ACTION:
Grant the following privileges under the Web Report and Web Analyst licenses for that user, for the particular project in which the user wishes to edit derived metrics:
