Database error <>: call SQLExecDirect got SQL_ERROR Not enough space on temporary disk

CAUSE
The transaction exceeded the MaxLocksPerFile value in Windows Registry which defaults to 9500 locks.

ACTION
Perform either of the following steps to resolve this issue:

  • Increase the MaxLocksPerFile value in the registry. To do this, refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article, "209940 - ACC2000: Error Message: There Isn't Enough Disk Space or Memory":
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;209940
  • Users may also delete the project by deleting the folders separately. For example, first delete all the metrics, then delete all the reports and then the filters, etc.

Registry Modification:
WARNING:
Modifying registry values incorrectly may cause serious, system-wide problems that may require the re-installation of Microsoft Windows NT. Any edit of the registry is done at the user's own risk. Since these are user-initiated changes, they are not covered by any Strategy warranty. If using Microsoft Windows NT, the user should back up the registry and/or update an Emergency Repair Disk (ERD) prior to alterations.

Third Party Software Installation:
WARNING:
The third-party product(s) discussed in this technical note is manufactured by vendors independent of Strategy. Strategy makes no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, regarding this product, including its performance or reliability.
