SYMPTOM:
By design, the subtotals are calculated by using the data in the view template only in Strategy Developer 9.x. This means that the subtotal calculations are based on the data that users can see in the report template after the report is already executed against the Warehouse. This should be considered when attempting to design subtotal calculations based on the data outside of the grid.
The objects in the base report are not included in subtotal calculations. This means that objects that are placed in the report objects window (objects not in the report view template) cannot be included for subtotal calculations.

CAUSE:
The product is currently working as designed.
ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update for the issue.
There is an enhancement request to include the base report objects (objects in the report objects window) to the subtotal calculations.
