KB19972: "cPageDocumentIO No personalized page returned for user preference 'XXXX' in the document instance's group by element tree" error occurs during execution of a MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server 9.x - 10.x using a Dynamic Subscription Set

• Strategy

SYMPTOM:
A Strategy Narrowcast Server 9.x - 10.x service using a Dynamic Subscription Set fails to deliver content for documents and/or Information Objects running under Personalised Page Execution (PPE). The following errors occur in the DELog file:


Error in 'GetResultInDocumentInstance and module name 'cPageDocumentIO No personalized page returned for user 
preference 'XXXX' in the document instance's group by element tree.
Error transmitting to recipient - 0:All documents were cancelled. This Broadcast is empty, and is cancelled.

CAUSE:
One possible cause of this issue is that the page-by attribute (slicing attribute) is defined in Strategy 9.x - 10.x as a different data type than what is actually defined in the warehouse database. This has been reported to happen on the Attribute ID form.

ACTION:
Make sure that the attribute column datatype defined is consistence with the datatype of the column in the Warehouse database tables.
