When a standard MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server service is run, the following error is reported in the DELogs: "Object with ID `xxxxxx` and type 3 (Report Definition) is not found in metadata."

SYMPTOM:
When a standard Strategy Narrowcast Server service is run, the following error is reported in the DELogs:


Service ID Execution ID Segment ID Information Source ID received results for Information Object with error message: Object with ID `xxxxxx` and type 3 (Report Definition) is not found in metadata. It may have been deleted.The report is not found in the metadata.


 

CAUSE:
This error occurs when a report is deleted from the metadata but there are Information Objects and/or subscriptions tied to that report. These objects and/or subscriptions need to be manually deleted.
 
ACTION:
If the error occurs for a Strategy Narrowcast Server service, open each of the Information Objects in the service to determine the offending report. Otherwise, if this is not an option (which means that the offending service could not be found) contact Strategy Technical Support for help resolving this issue.
