SYMPTOM
When attempting to configure the Intelligence Server on Microsoft Windows in Strategy 9.x, the user may encounter the following error:
MExec::ApplicationProxy_Impl::Run: Caught an MBase::BaseException: MFileSystem::OpenDescriptor ::CreateFlew failed for
'E:\app\MicroStrategy\Intelligence Server\MSIReg.reg_lock'.
System Error 0xx000000005 (5): --- Access is denied.
CAUSE
This error is encountered if the Windows user running the Intelligence Server process does not have administrative privileges.
ACTION
Grant Windows administrative privileges to the the Windows user that is attempting to configure the Intelligence server.
