"Method ~ of object ~ failed" error occurs when trying to duplicate a project in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Developer 9.x, users see the error below when trying to duplicate a project.

Method '~' of object '~' failed

 
CAUSE: 
 
In this instance, this issue is about locales as there are some special characters in the Project name (such as ã ç) which cause the error.
 
ACTION:
 
Rename the Project to remove these characters, after which the project can be duplicated successfully.
