KB20269: How can users modify the Copyright footer message that appears on the login page using the MicroStrategy Web SDK 10.x?

Users can modify the copyright footer message that appears on the login page as shown below,

In order to achieve the above customization follow the steps given below:
 

• Create a new plugin in the Web Customization Editor.
• Navigate to Property Files > WEB-INF > classes > resources > MessagesBundle_en_US.properties as shown below:
   
  

• Open the properties file in the editor and Add a new message key. An example of adding message key mstrWeb.11239 with content "This is a custom message" is show below:
  

• Navigate to Pages > login(Login) as shown below:
  

• Open the page in the editor and nvaigate to the Template Properties tab.
• In the Page Templates section, right-click the footer section to edit it a shown below:
  

• Change the following line in Copyright_Footer.jsp from:
  <span class="copyright"><web:descriptor key="mstrWeb.5167" desc="copyright"/></span>
  To:
  <span class="copyright"><web:descriptor key="mstrWeb.11239" desc="copyright"/></span>
  
•  Save all changes and restart the web server to observe the change as shown above.
