SUMMARY:
This technical note describes the different behavior when use "Save As" icon from toolbar and "Save As" link from "Home" menu.
SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web, user is able to perform "Save As" operation from toolbar icon or Home menu, as shown below:
From toolbar:
Note: Starting from 9.3.0, the default Save option can be changed in Web Preference, refer to KB46778: How to change the default Save behavior in MicroStrategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1 Web for more information.
From home menu:
The default path for "Save As" icon in toolbar is always "My Report" folder, as shown below:
But the default path for "Save As" in Home menu is parent folder for current running report or document:
CAUSE:
This is known issue in Strategy Web 9.4.1. Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update of the latest support status of this issue.
ACTION:
This issue has been addressed with Strategy 10. Upgrade to take advantage of the fix.
