This technical note describes an issue when trying to import a package in MicroStrategy Object Manager.

SYMPTOM:
When importing a package into a project in Strategy Object Manager 9.4.x - 10.x, the following error message appears:

The source manipulator found a missing dependency. Object:<Attribute Form id=XXX> is not found. A total of 1 object(s) need it, one of which is <Template Name> <Template id=XXX>. Please turn on the log for more information.

When attempting to manually add the objects to the Create Package wizard, the following error message appears:

Invalid procedure call or argument

When users click "OK" they can see that nothing gets added to the package.

CAUSE:

In this case, the error occurred because the package did not contain all dependencies.

ACTION:

When creating the package in Object Manager, make sure to select "Add All Used Dependencies".  This will ensure that no object dependencies will be missing when the package is imported.
