How to create a link to a WebDav External folder using URL API in MicroStrategy Mobile 10.x

SUMMARY:  This Technical Note explains how to create a link to a WebDav External folder using URL API in Strategy Mobile 10.x and later.
Strategy provides web folder content integration, which means that content that is shared using the WebDAV protocol can be integrated into the Strategy environment. This integration allows the content within web folders, such as documents or videos, to be accessed in Strategy Mobile. For more information on how to set up WebDav in Strategy Mobile refer to KB43886 "How to configure mobile external folder to access WebDAV contents from Mobile in MicroStrategy 9.3.1?" .
Strategy 9.3.0 Developers can create URL API links to these WebDav folders as shown below.
How to create a URL API link to a WebDav External Strategy Mobile 9.3.0 and later

  1. Locate the ID of the folder that will be used as a target by showing the folder properties in Strategy Desktop.
  2. Build the Mobile URL API with the following components:
    mstr://
    ?evt=2002
    &folderID=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Note: event 2002 corresponds to browsing to a WebDav External Folder. This event is designed for Strategy Mobile 9.3.0 and later only.

A sample URL is shown below:

mstr://?evt=2002&folderID=D0B7A3B442F16691C5D32ABBAA33BC4F
