SYMPTOM:
When creating or updating a data source with a Google Drive URL in Strategy Analytics Express, the following error occurs, as shown below:

Files with empty extensions are not supported

CAUSE:
This is due to how Google Drive URLs are formed. The URLs generated by Google Drive do not have an extension such as XLS or CSV, and therefore Strategy Analytics Express cannot recognize them as valid data sources. A request has been made to address this issue.

ACTION:
This issue has been addressed in Strategy 10.x.

WORKAROUND:
Use TinyURL.com to create a TinyURL for the Google Drive URL. Strategy Analytics Express can accept TinyURLs even without file extensions.
