KB206754: "No subscription found with GUID xxxxx" when listing properties for a subscription returned in the LIST ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS command in MicroStrategy Command Manager 9.4.1

SUMMARY

This technical note outlines a known issue in Strategy Command Manager 9.4.1 when trying to list properties for certain subscriptions.

 

SYMPTOM

In Command Manager 9.4.1, users may try to run scripts to list properties for subscriptions, but for certain subscriptions, an error may be returned: 

"No subscription found with GUID xxxxx"

 
NOTE: This issue is specific to subscriptions with delivery formats of either Phone or Tablet.
 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Create a new report in Tutorial.
2. Create a new Cache Update subscription with delivery format of either Phone or Tablet.
3. In Command Manager, run LIST ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS IN PROJECT "Strategy Tutorial";
4. Copy the GUID of the subscription you just created, and then run LIST ALL PROPERTIES FOR SUBSCRIPTION GUID xxx FOR PROJECT "Strategy Tutorial";
5. The error "No subscription found with GUID xxx" should be returned.
 

CAUSE

This is a known issue in Strategy Command Manager 9.4.1 for subscriptions of delivery format Phone or Tablet.
 

ACTION

This issue has been addressed in Strategy 10.0.  Upgrade to this version or above to take advantage of the fix.
