'The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Authorization Required.' error message appears when trying to connect to MicroStrategy Office.

SYMPTOM:
'The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Authorization Required.' error message appears when trying to connect to Strategy Office, like shown in the image below.


A connection to Web Services at 'http://<servername>/StrategyWS/MSTRWS.asmx' could not be established: 'The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Authorization Required.'. Do you want to connect to a different Web Services URL?

CAUSE:
There is a proxy server blocking the connection between the client machine and the Web Services machine due to an incorrect server name or incorrect permissions to the server name.

ACTION:
Contact the network administrator to provide the fully qualified server name that will allow access through the proxy server between the client machine and the Web Services machine.
