This article describes and issue where Multisource Option privileges are grayed out in the user editor in MicroStrategy 9.4.1

SYMPTOM:
After applying a Strategy 9.4.1 license key, administrators would like to grant the Multisource Options feature privileges to some users. However, the privileges under the Multisource Options are grayed out, as shown in the image below:

Strategy 9 introduces a new extension to Intelligence Server referred to as MultiSource Option. With this feature, administrators can connect a project to multiple relational data sources.
 
For information on using MultiSource Option, please refer to Strategy 9 product manual ' Project Design Guide'
 
CAUSE:
The license key used is missing the Multisource license that enables these privileges.
 
ACTION:
Update to a license key that enables the Multisource options.
 
If users are unsure as to whether or not their CD Key includes a Multisource license, please contact Strategy Technical Support.
