CAUSE:
The import process is exceeding the maxrequestlength Internet Information Services parameter.

ACTION:
1) Edit the web.config configuration file located by default in \\Program Files (x86)\MicroStrategy\Web ASPx (Windows 7/2008 versions).
2) Insert the <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="8192"/> line , as shown:

 <configuration>
   <system.web>
       <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="8192" />
   </system.web>
</configuration>

 3) Restart the Internet Information Services service.

NOTE:
This configuration will allow the user to import “.mstr” files with size up to 7MB. In case the user needs to import bigger files, it is advised to increase this value. The value must be written in KB (in this example, 8MB = 8192KB).
