This issue has been classified as a defect by Strategy. The impact is limited to Strategy Web 9.4.1 product only with reports using shortcut to templates with metric report limit qualifications.  One workaround is available in the current document. A solution/code fix for this issue is not available in current releases but is being reviewed for a future Strategy release.”
 
SYMPTOM:
After creating a Custom Group and setting the ACL, a user modifies this Custom Group in Web using the “Save As…” option. When they go back and check the ACL of the Custom Group in Developer, the ACL has been overwritten, giving only the user that modified it full control of the Custom Group.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

• Create a Custom Group in Developer and modify the ACL of the object.

• Go to Strategy Web and login as Administrator and edit the Custom Group.
• Select the option Save As… and save the Custom Group with the same name.
• Notice the ACL list has been modified, giving only the user that made the edition of the object in Web full control of the Custom Group.

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy Web 9.4.1.
 
ACTION:
This issue has been fixed in Strategy 10.x.
 
WORKAROUND:
When saving the Custom Group after editing it in Web, use the Save button or Save the Custom Group with a different name.
