SUMMARY
This document discusses an issue with Strategy Mobile 9.4.1 iOS Update 5 when logging in with the setting “User must change password at next logon”.

SYMPTOM
After entering project credentials in the Strategy Mobile 9.4.1 iOS Update 5, the window hangs while connecting.

CAUSE
This is a known issue in Strategy Mobile 9.4.1 iOS Update 5.  The issue occurs when the user level setting for “User must change password at next logon” is enabled.

This issue will only occur if the change password setting is enabled, the application requests the project credentials, and a home screen document is used.  If any of these requirements are not met, the Strategy Mobile 9.4.1 iOS Update 5 app will function as expected.
ACTION
This issue is fixed in Strategy Mobile 10 iOS application. Upgrade to this release to take advantage of the fix.

WORKAROUND
1) Have project credentials saved in the device - Since the issue only occurs if the user is prompted first for project credentials, having the credentials already in the device will allow this to work.  To accomplish this, temporarily disable the need to change the password for the user.  This should allow the user to login to the project on the device.  Once logged in, the device should now remember the project credentials and not prompt for them again.
NOTE:  There are some scenarios where it will prompt for credentials at a later time (Never Persist Credentials, reset the app, etc.) but as long as the password change is not required at the same time project credentials are needed, there will not be an issue.

2) Use the default home screen - Since the issue only happens when using a custom home document, using the default home screen will prevent the issue from occurring. To accomplish this, temporarily modify the mobile configuration so that it goes to the default home screen rather than a custom home screen document.  The user can then successfully login and change the password without issue.  After they have changed the password, the configuration can be switched back to using the custom home screen document if desired.
