KB221024: Linked Prompted Documents do not use Document Cache created via Mobile Subscription in MicroStrategy Mobile 9.4.1

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Mobile 9.4.1, it is possible to pre-cache Document that are executed by link drilling using Mobile subscriptions as outlined in the Strategy Knowledge Base article below:

However, when executing Prompted Documents, existing Document Caches are not used and new Document caches are created.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
 

1. Create a Mobile Subscription (both update cache)
2. In Mobile Configuration page, enable pre-cahe option
3. Run the subscription to create Mobile cache.
4. Run the Prompted Dashboard on an iPad.
5. Notice that the existing Document caches are not used
6. New cache files are created for the live execution of the Prompted Document

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy Mobile 9.4.1.
 
ACTION:
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
 
WORKAROUND:
A workaround is to create Dataset caches via a Document cache update subscription which will be hit during a live execution even if the Document cache is not hit.
