CAUSE:
Values in the Windows registry have been changed that causes the window not to appear on the screen.

ACTION:
Follow these steps to make the metric editor viewable again:

  1. Completely close Strategy Developer
  2. Open the windows registry and go to the path:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MicroStrategy\DSS Agent\Metric Editor
  3. Delete the entire folder for the metric editor
  4. Open Developer again and the folder in the Windows registry will be recreated with the default values
  5. The metrics editor should be viewable again

Registry Modification Warning:
Modifying registry values incorrectly may cause serious, system-wide problems that may require the re-installation of Microsoft Windows. Any edit of the registry is done at the user's own risk. Since these are user-initiated changes, they are not covered by any Strategy warranty. If using Microsoft Windows, the user should backup the registry and/ or update an Emergency Repair Disk prior to alterations.
