KB224308: How to set up the Multimedia Widget without a WebDAV directory in MicroStrategy Mobile 9.4.1.

The Multimedia widget can be configured in Strategy Mobile 9.4.1 using the following the steps in KB45435: How to configure Multimedia widget for MicroStrategy mobile 9.x. However, it can also be configured without the use of a WebDAV directory in Microsoft IIS.
The following steps will configure the Multimedia Widget for Strategy Mobile 9.4.1 without a WebDAV directory.
 

1. Create an Excel spreadsheet with the mapping columns.

2. Use Data Import to import the Excel file.
   
1. Log into Strategy Web and use Data Import to import the excel file created in Step 1.
2. During the import, make sure the attribute names match exactly what the column names are. The underscores may have to be added back to the attribute names.
3. Match the data types of the columns to the ones set in step 1. 
4. Check the Modified/On column and make sure that no additional time attributes were added to it.
5. Publish the cube.
3. Configure the Multimedia Widget.
   
1. Create a report based on the intelligent cube that was just created using all of the columns in the intelligent cube. 
2. Create a new document using the cube report as the dataset.
3. Add the attributes to a grid in the same order as listed in Step 1.
4. Right click on the grid and go to Properties and Formatting > Widget > Mobile > Multimedia Widget.
4. Save the document and then run it on a mobile device.
