This technical note outlines an issue when trying to add a Health Agent to a Health Center Repository when using the machine name.
When trying to add a Health Agent to a Strategy Health Center Repository, regardless if done by manually adding it in the Health Center Console or by connecting it in Strategy Configuration Wizard, the following error is returned:

Trouble in TopologyGraph addNode:
- Trouble in TopologyGraph addNode:
- com.Strategy.tools.mcdgnstc.baseobjects.remote.RemoteException
- com.Strategy.ctools.mcdgnstc.pluginapi.DiagnosticException
- Connect - Connection failed
Could not connect to <machine_name>:44440
Error connecting to <machine_name>:44440
class java.io.IOException: UnresolvedAddressException
Failed to connect to <machine_name>:44440This error is observed because there is no proper mapping of machine name to IP address of the Strategy Health Agent in the Strategy Master Health Agent's hosts file.
Add an entry in the MicroStratetgy Master Health Agent's hosts file with the name and IP address of the Health Agent in question. This file is typically located at \Windows\System32\drivers\etc on Windows operating system, or else at /etc on Linux or UNIX operating system machines. Contact the system administrator for more details if unable to locate it.
Modifying the hosts file on a machine incorrectly can interfere with name resolution. Ensure that a backup copy is made of the hosts file before modifications are made.
