Description
In Strategy Web 9.4.x and above, a document can be enabled to automatically refresh at a set interval. Leaving the document open in a browser instance and refresh for several hours, the following error message might be encountered:

Not enough storage is available to complete this operation

The above error message is encountered using Microsoft Internet Explorer 9. Internet Explorer 11 as well as other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox are not affected to the same degree.

Steps to reproduce
1. Choose a document with substantial data volume.
2. Enable Document-auto refresh as described in technical note KB44946.
3. Leave document to automatically refresh for several hours.

Cause
This is a known issue with Strategy Web. On each refresh interval the memory footprint of the browser process increases until the available memory for the browser process is depleted and the error message above is shown.

Action
Use Internet Explorer 11 or above or Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for Strategy Report Services documents that automatically refresh.

Workaround
- Reduce the refresh interval.
- Close and re-open the browser instance to avoid the error from showing.
