KB234377: In MicroStrategy Developer 9.5.0, when using the connection mapping for a user/group, the connection map for Default Users is being used instead of the one given to the user/group.

SYMPTOM:
When using connection mapping in Strategy 9.5.0, and setting up a database login for the data warehouse for a user or group, the login is not being applied correctly; instead the connection mapping for default users is being used.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

• Create a new connection mapping for an user, going to Project Configuration – Database Instances – Connection Mapping, and setting the Database Login and Database Connection for an user or group:

• Login as the user or member user of the group and try running a report from the project that the database connection was made for.
• Go to the SQL view, and you will notice that the connection mapping was not correctly applied, instead, the Connection mapping for Default users was used:

 
CAUSE
This is a known issue in Strategy Developer 9.5.0.
 
ACTION
This issue has been fixed in Strategy version 9.5.1. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of the fix.
