This article covers how to show all in a dynamic attribute text field targeted by a selector.

When users choose “All” for a selector, a dynamic attribute text field targeted by the selector shows the first element in the selector list by default. Users can follow the steps below to make the field return “All” in this scenario.

  • Edit the report services document. In the Dataset Objects panel, right-click on the dataset and choose “Insert New Metric”.
  • In the popup dialog box, enter the formula: Count(attribute){}

  • Make sure “Apply selections as a filter” is enabled for the selector.

  • Apply conditional formatting for the dynamic text. Format the text field to show “All” when the value of the derived metric created in step 2 is greater than 1.
