KB248772: How To Remove A Shortcut From The “All Objects” Browser On A Report Using MicroStrategy Web SDK

SUMMARY: An administrator may find it useful to be able to remove a shortcut (e.g. Hierarchies, Attributes…) from the “All Objects” browser on a report for all users. This can be done using Strategy Web SDK 9.4.1-10
Before customization:

Follow these steps to achieve this customization:

  • In the Web Customization Editor, go to Folder Links > Report Object Browser as shown below:

  • (If you cannot find Folder Links then please enable it in Eclipse Preferences > Strategy > Show Advanced Options > Folder Links)
  • Double-click to open it in the editor
  • Under the Folder Links section, remove the items desired as shown below:

  • Save all changes and restart the application server
