KB249676: Disabling "Search on server" will cause Searchbox selectors not to return results in Flash view mode in MicroStrategy Web 10.

SYMPTOM:
When the setting in Properties and Formatting > Layout > Selector > "Search on Server" is disabled for a searchbox selector in Flash view mode, the selector will not return any results for inputs entered in Strategy Web 10.0
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

• Create a searchbox selector and a corresponding grid.
• Run the document in Flash mode. Note that typing in enough letters shows a result, as shown below:
  

• Go to Properties and Formatting > Layout > Selector and disable "Search on Server", as shown below:
  

• Run the document in Flash view mode again and note that no results are returned, as shown below:
  

The selector will also not filter even if the exact element name is typed in.
CAUSE:
This is an identified defect in Strategy Web 10.
ACTION:
Currently this issue is still being reviewed for feasibility by our Technology team and it is not scoped for any upcoming scheduled Strategy release.
 
WORKAROUND:
If possible, use Express mode instead.
