KB263711: Unable to access the Advanced Thresholds Editor in Reports in MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 9.4.1,the Advanced Thresholds Editor in Reports should be accessible by either right-clicking on metric > Thresholds > Advanced or by clicking on the Advanced Thresholds Editor button on the Data toolbar. However, if the users are missing the 'Web Alias Object' privilege the Advanced Threshold Editor does not load when clicking on either option. This works correctly in Report Services Documents.  
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Revoke the 'Web Alias Object' privilege under the Web Analyst group for any user.
2. In a Report, try accessing the Advanced Thresholds Editor.

 
CAUSE:
This is an identified defect in Strategy Web 9.4.1.
 
ACTION:
This issue has been addressed in Strategy Web 10.2. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of this fix.
 
WORKAROUND:
If possible, grant the 'Web Alias Object' privilege to the users that need to access the editor.
