SYMPTOM:
In Strategy 10.1, a user must have the "Web create new report" privilege in order to display object prompt selections in Web. This was not the case back in Strategy 9.4.1.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Create a user with "normal user" privileges in Strategy10.1 Tutorial project.
2. Give this user all Web Reporter privileges
3. Give this user the listed Web Analyst privileges shown in screenshot here:
4. Create an object prompt with filters "Select a Quarter" and "Select a Month" (found in the Public Objects\Filters folder)
5. Create a report with Year, Quarter, Month attributes, and Profit metric. Add the object prompt to the report filters
6. Login in with the user created in step 1-3 in Strategy Web 10.1.
7. Run the report, notice the filters in the prompt are not found/displayed
CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy 10.1.
ACTION:
This issue has been fixed in Strategy Web 10.2. Take advantage of upgrading for a fix.
