This Knowledge Base article describes "The Certificate Server is not compatible with this MicroStrategy Mobile Application" error appears when connecting a MicroStrategy Mobile 10.x client to a MicroStrategy Mobile Certificate Server 9.4.x. This is working by design due to the change in MicroStrategy Mobile 10.x. Upgrade The MicroStrategy Mobile Server and MicroStrategy Mobile Certificate Server components to MicroStrategy 10 to resolve this issue.

SYMPTOM:
When connecting a Strategy Mobile 10.x client to a Strategy Mobile Server 9.4.x with a Strategy Mobile Certificate Server the following error is shown at login:
 


The Certificate Server is not compatible with this Strategy Mobile Application.  Please contact your system administrator

 

CAUSE:
Due to changes in the Strategy Mobile application, the Strategy Mobile 10.x client can only connect to a Strategy Mobile Certificate Server of version 10 or higher.
ACTION:
Upgrade The Strategy Mobile Server and Strategy Mobile Certificate Server components to Strategy 10.
